Umbraco 4.x build

Are there any instructions on how to install your Beta 1.1 build on an Umbraco 4 beta install?
The zip file just contains a bunch of files. Not sure where to copy them.

You can have a look at this screencast

The procedure should be the same.  We're really close on the beta 2 drop...really!

psterling: thanks for the video, but the quality is atrocious!  I suspect that the view is of the Umbraco admin, but it's so grainy, I can barely tell.

I find that Jinq is really good for this sort of thing.  With the free version, you can record a screencast of up to 5min with sound.  It's really good, with an integrated uploader, etc.

I figured that you had to use the developer/import packages to install the C4U module, but the installation has hosed my Umbraco install -  none of the admin navigation items show now.  So I'm thinking that there is some other way to install it...

The current version of Commerce for Umbraco available in the release section is targeted ONLY at v3 and v4 Beta - any Umbraco version later than those (e.g.. 4.*) is not compatible.  You can, of course, install the bits into a v4 installation (indeed, many folks have this) but it requires some knowledge of Umbraco in terms of where the various components live.

Also, the versions in the release section do not include the integrated admin components - just a separate ASP.NET web app installed under .../umbraco/commece/admin/....

We'd love your feed back once we get v1 to an alpha or beta state, but the project has deviated largely from the prior versions targeted at Umbraco v3.  If you a developer type you can always grab the latest code from:

else, watch the releases section for an alpha/beta release.

Ah!  I was using the latest version of Umbraco, v 4.0.1.

I was looking for a roadmap for what features and when the releases are planned, but don't see anything on the codeplex site.  Is there somewhere else I should be looking for this stuff?

Check out the front page on codeplex:

This is the list of features for v1.0.  We'll frame up v1.1 with work items from v1.0 and add in a few other features that didn't make the v1.0 cut - search, ratings, coupons.
